i'm like you, if the woman was raped... or if the woman's life was in danger... that's it. i've heard people say.. "we use capital punishment"... lol, that's NOT the same. that person made a series of decisions to be put in that predicament... a baby hasn't a choice.. and i've heard people say... "you wouldn't know what to do if you were in the situation".. true, i wouldn't know what to do when the baby was BORN.. NOT whether i could kill an innocent life. i KNOW that this would not even be an option. and Rudy?? lol, i'm NOT voting for the guy. he's not gonna be repub candidate anyways...
libs believe in laws???? lol, there's sooo much in that statement that is soooo wrong.
i'm seeing people use the science plug... science is almost as opinionating as religious beliefs.. how many times have humans proved science wrong?? just because some stupid atheist scientists proclaim that a tiny organism in a woman's belly isn't a life-form doesn't mean that it isn't... that part is opinion. though no one can deny that there is a life-form GROWING in there... no matter at what stage it is..
if a woman was raped, impregnation was not her choice obviously... i dont think a woman would want to bring a child into this world from a man that raped her. rape victims have enough trouble dealing with what happened to her, without having a baby who's father raped the mother.. that's not fair to the mother... it wasn't her choice to be raped.

You would be surprised to know that many conservatives are not against abortion, like me. Now I would never have one, but hey if anyone wants to have one, I don't care. When they meet their maker, they have to face the consequences. The reason I am OK with the abortion law is I was in high school when abortions were illegal and remember girls trying to use coat hangers to abort their babies. A desperate female will do anything including what I told you. So I would rather a doctor perform this rather then the females try to do it to themselves.

First of all, why do you lay this question at the feet of Liberals?? Many, many conservatives HAVE abortions and believe that they should be legal and safe.
Secondly, I am a rabid Liberal on most things, but I am pro-life. Now what???
Third, if a "baby is a baby", why would you make ANY exceptions? Shouldn't the non-jello be given a chance to live outside the womb no matter how it was conceived?? no matter what may happen to the mother??
You need to rethink your rant!

I am not pro-abortion, but I am pro-choice. I don't think it should be used as a method of birth control but I also don't think that the choice should be taken away. Like it or not, abortions will happen and is better that they happen in a controlled situation with term limits rather than a back alley at 9 months. You cannot legislate morality and you cannot force someone to be a good mother. You cannot write a law that tells someone to love and nurture a child or for the father to be a man and support that child he made. How many unwanted children have you adopted? How many children have you helped with the basics like food or water, clothing or shelter? It is very easy to stand tall on a situation but offer no real alternative. Talk is cheap.
Please explain to me how if you cannot trust a person with a choice you can trust them with the wellbeing of an innocent child?
One more point, being a conservative I am guessing you support your president and his war. Do you know how many Iraqi children have died as a result of this action from his lies? How can you sit and condemn abortion and cheer on a president that has slaughtered into the hundreds of thousands. Do the children have to be white and Christian before they matter?

I'm glad you're 100% against abortion. That's your RIGHT. Guess what? Other people have rights too. You have no right to force other people to conform with your beliefs. When does life begin? When you're wiping your palm off after a night alone? how about at conception? Or the answer that most people recognize, at birth? Since you won't even allow stem cell research, I'm going to assume, in your case, answer number 1. Why do you get to choose the path for anyone, except yourself?

You can't say abortion is murder, then allow it in any cases at all. murder is murder. So when you elevate the fetus to person status, that fetus will have the same rights as the woman carrying the fetus or fertilized egg. How do you defend the rights of a fertilized egg in someone's stomach without violating that person's rights? Drs would fight to save that unborn fetus's life even if your wife or sisters life was in imminent danger.
Nobody likes abortion. But calling a fertilized egg a person is entirely different.

LOL, You're 100% against it, except when... Listen, if you're so against abortion, don't get one. Pull the plank out of your own eye.
Edit: Mere Mere, why would you think that Christians are more likely to be Conservative? Jesus was a pacifist who preached the values of Love, Charity, and Compassion. He spurned the Wealthy, Politicians, and those who abused their place in the Religious Hierarchy. He was patently uninterested in politics, but which of the two parties do those values seem to represent?
Most "christians" have gravitated to the Republican Party because of their stances against Abortion and Gay Marriage. Here's why I believe that's a mistake; the Bible doesn't mention abortion. Anywhere. Whether you think it's right or wrong (and I do believe it's wrong), it's simply not a Christian issue- we've been left to sort that one out on our own.
Jesus did have some harsh words about homosexuality, so if you believe that outweighs EVERYTHING else he said, then by all means continue to vote republican. Just remember John 3:17. He didn't come here to CONDEMN the world, but that the world through him might be saved.

Everybody is entitled to there opinion about anything.
The laws of the land cover what is inside the land.
It is only your personal opinion that governs what is inside your body. Nobody else has that right.
This is our sanctuary before the lord. Only we will be responsible for what goes on within our own body.
Maybe in the final judgement there will be a higher law to judge what was done within our own body. But until then it is the judgement of that person as to what is acceptable within our own domain.
Give unto the land what is of the land.
Give unto the lord what is the lords.
Give unto thyself what is within thee.
You have relinquished your control when you released your fluid within what is not your domain.
Even as a man I understand this. Whatever my own ideas may be!

They have a constitutional right to their opinion.
This issue will forever polarize rather than unite and so the only way to not be divided further on it is to articulate your opinion and respectfully allow others to the same. I have seen spit-flying arguments up close on this one. I may not agree with what you say but I will defend to the death (well maybe not to the death!) your right to say it.

For the 2nd person who answered... I'm democrat and I believe in God.
Oh and also. Abortion is Evil! According to my logical mind, Abortion is murder and it's bad, just because the baby is unborn... doesn't mean you can kill it!
