i have a unichrome s3g graphics card and when i found thier website it said something along thin lines of this company no longer exist .

Most graphics cards aren't upgradeable. In general you just need to see what type of graphics card slot your computer had and buy a new card based on that slot. I'm guessing your motherboard doesn't have an express slot so your likely looking for an AGP card (thats nice because they are cheaper right now as they are being phased out).
If you don't understand the difference between AGP or express slots then you might consider taking the computer to someone else that can find out and put in a new card for you.
You could try PC-club (if they exist near you), CompUSA, or Bestbuy. In that order.. bestbuy is probably the most expensive.

They're NOT out of business... merely... reorganized.
Though their video cards do appear lacking compared to NVIDIA or ATI offerings.
