7 - Another #6 seed wild card berth. If LJ and Priest are both playing we have the best RB combo in the NFL. I don't think we'll have the problems at QB that everyone else is expecting. If the running game goes well, whoever is taking the snaps won't have the pressure on them to win games and can just focus on not making mistakes. My biggest question mark is at o-line - could hurt KC this year. Donnie Edwards back in a Chiefs uniform will make the D better - he'll help Derrick Johnson a lot.
GO CHIEFS!!!!!!! DIE DONKEYS DIE!!!!!

I'd give them a 5 tops.
A really good defense? They were middle of the road last year. They have two good linebackers in Johnson and Edwards, but Donnie is getting old, and I don't think he will be as productive without the playmakers that the Chargers have on D. Their secondary consists of two over the hill corners, whose production dropped dramatically last season, a good but not great free safety in Wesley, and a very unproven strong safety in Pollard. Their ends are pretty good, and can provide some pressure, but their defensive tackles are a joke, and their weakest linebacker is Harris who plays in the middle - thus they can get run over. Their defense was average/mediocre last year, and it will not be any better this year.
As far as the "mediocre" passing offense that they should have this year.... "mediocre" is being very optimistic. It will be "mediocre" if Huard starts. It will be "awful" otherwise. Unless Bowe becomes a complete stud, their top receiver will be T.Gonz, and that line is going to be one of the worst in the league.
Yes, they have LJ and Priest, but an average defense and a terrible line are going to limit their production. You can't just run the ball if you're down by 10.

If LJ has a good year and their new QB works out all right, then maybe a 6 or 7. My guess is that they'll end up around a 4.

I give them a 7.5 they will be about 6 th place in the AFC.
10-6 is a good prediction 2nd place in AFC west behind SanDiego, they could win the division if SanDiego takes a step back since they lost Marty. I like there schedule and I think both the Raiders and Broncos will be down this year again. I hope Croyle develops like some thinks he will, but you have to remember the Huard led them to alot of wins last year and the defense is even better this year with new LB corps. So I basically see them making the playoffs in about the same spot they were in last year.

I give them a 7 they could be one of the best teams or one of the worst depending on there O line. BTW LJ is over rated his stats are inflated because he got 416 carries last year, instead of putting it all on one back we could split it between Michal Bennett, Priest Holmes may maybe some to the rookie Kolby Smith.

I agree with 6, lj is going to snap this season but they have to do something with their pass offence. It is so terrible and until they upgrade in that department they wont do much.

Love those Chiefs and love football. I will go for a 7, for the same reasons you listed plus undying optimism. We can always be pleasantly surprised.
