can you leave a trickle charger hooked up all of the time? I have a 1.5 amp fully automatic trickle charger. everytime I'm ready to take my boat out I have to charge my batteries.

yea, you can leave a trickle charger on full time, its designed to keep a battery fully charged when its not being used.it was made specifically for marine r/v batteries because they will have months long periods of time of no use.

That's what trickle chargers are for. They will shut themselves off if the battery is fully charged. During the winter, you should disconnect the batteries and set them up on some support and not leave them sitting on the concrete floor. good luck.

If it's automatic, it should shut itself on and off.
But if you are going to let your sit for long periods of time you should just disconnect your batteries.

its not recommended only keep it on charge for as long as it takes to charge
