Also, if the D's could control USA for years, what country would be start to resemble.
I'm thinking the Dems would take us a step in Canada's direction, and the Repubs would take us in the direction of ???
That one I'm not sure about. Any ideas from intelligent folks?

Rep would head in the direction of IRAN a countries base on faith and power where money was god.
Dem's would be more like Canada or the Eroupean Union. No real centeral control, and a fair number of safety nets for families, in canada and the EU no one loses their home over medical bills, in the USA it is the leading cause of homelessness

Do you have ANY grasp of reality? That quote you gave gives NO indication of your paranoid fantasy of being rounded up. This kind of crazy talk is coming directly from your own head. And if you are so paranoid that mere criticism of things you have done and said leads you to believe you will be rounded up like Jews in Germany, then you really have no grasp on reality.

likely we would become much more like the UK, where there aren't as many legal protections for personal liberties, where people are accustomed to seeing military personnel with fully automatic weapons on some street corners, and where millions of cameras watch and record the average persons everyday public movements.
individual rights would likely suffer to laws softening the liability and regulations of companies as regards their product safety and the environment.
a larger amount of the tax burden would shift to the middle and lower classes, and off of the ultra-wealthy and the multi-national and international corporations
the definition of "terrorism" would be stretched to include acts of civil disobedience or "anti-government" organizations; public media, personal remarks, and written publications would come under greater governmental scrutiny.
Domestic and secret wiretapping/surveillance would become more commonplace with less public oversight and restrictions.
and many, many, other changes
of course we would still be a "free" and democratic nation....in name at least....but not the kind of America that most people from the recent past would recognize as their "America"
same goes for the democrats, which would probably bring many socialistic changes to health care, business, etc. and institute European style gun control laws

China. The rich take care of the rich, and the poor take care of the poor. There would be no standard health care, and the class system would be segregated into urban with rich and educated, and the poor in rural areas. The military would be run by the monied people, and the others would be the servicemen.

There is no country that is more pro business and pro capitalist than we are, so a country run by just Republicans would look a lot like...us.
A country run by just Democrats would look like France or maybe Sweden. Pick the most socialist one you can find.

if the reps had control we would be a better version of todays america like a mix of america and america without any dems. if the dems had control it would be like an african tribe on crack or maybe france with even more muslim/terrorists and very high taxes.

It would be a dictatorship. Much like it was before the democrats took control of congress last year, when the republicans controlled every branch of government.
