I had a similar problem when I worked reception at the corporate office of a bank - I just made up a little "inbox" labeled "DHL" or FedEx or whatever we happened to get in at the time, so he could put the packages in there. I also told him that I had concerns, because I was dealing with client information, about him walking behind my counter. Just tell him that your supervisor wanted you to let him know or something, he should get the picture and you won't be being rude, just concerned about confidentiality...

I'd say something like (with a nice smile) "I'm sorry, but I can't have you behind my desk, company policy. I'll just take that right here" and reach over your counter. Besides, who cares if the delivery guy has an attitude afterwards, you don't work for him. If you continue to have problems, let your supervisor know about it and your concerns. I'm sure they'd be happy in a way that you're looking out for clients' confidentiality.

Just explain to him that your clients expect confidentiality and by him coming around to the side of your desk it is risking it. And if he still continues do so, then complain to your boss, have them take care of it.

Maybe he fancy you, or maybe he feels that the raised counter is a way of distance between you and him[he has to give you the package sort of himself], or he's got this question going in his head,[his rude mind],"What is she wearing?", or something like that.It is difficult to address it isn't it?.Why don't you try to explain it to him, maybe by saying that no one is allowed behind the desk or something?.

Just tell him politely that his actions are putting your job in jeopardy, and you would appreciate it if he would not violate the company policy and stay on the other side of the desk.

Tell him that you need him to stay on the other side of the desk for security reasons. If you're nice and tell him that you're not trying to be rude, he should be fine. (if he is rude, then he's in the wrong not you)

You don't have to be rude. In the simplest terms - please tell this rude FED-EX employee that he is not allowed behind your desk. It is against your company's policy. If he does not get it, report to your superior and tell them that you feel very uncomfortable with this man doing this. They cannot fire you for simply doing your job and complying with THEIR rules.

Call FedEx and tell them that they need to let their driver know that he should deliver his items over the counter not around the counter. They will know who he is and let him know that.
