im painting my condo next week with behr paint. im planning on painting the ceiling and some of the walls, probably in every room. i also wanted to bring my 6 and 7 year old cats down because i would be down there for 2 weeks.
are the fumes hazardous?
should i hire a sitter and leave them at home?
i love them dearly and i couldnt stand leaving them home, but id rather them safe than sick.

just 2, i would only bring 2 cats.

don't paint with them there. they might make a mess and spill your paint anyway

Well as a human - paint fumes are not the most attractive smell and I think for an animal - it may be worse but so far I have never heard of a cat getting poisoned from paint fumes - but better to be safe than sorry.

The paint fumes will definately get you high, which might be funny to watch your cats get high. But if you can get high off of it then it will have harmful effects to some brain cells. So it would probably be best to leave your cats at home with a sitter.
