Always loved "River City Ransom" for the Nintendo Entertainment System I still play it to this day from time to time.
Never found another beat 'em up game that could stack up to it.

xenogears for playstation, i'm playing through it right now, and even though getting used to the sucky graphics it tough, the game more than makes up for it
