i don't agree w/ how he said it but i do agree w/ what he said. becuase if i were to go to mexico or any other spanish country then i would have to learn spanish, so they are in america and they should learn english. it is plain and simple, becuase they are given special treatment, and other immigrants who are legal don't get. i'm not saying that all of them are illegal, but some are so why should i bend over backwards to talk to them, when they came to my country? not the other way around. anyway this guy does sound a little racist and rude, but he makes a good point

my opinion .... yeah that was abrupt and couldve been put more tactfully - but hes RIGHT. i live in florida - home of 18 trillion puerto ricans. im by no means racist - BUT i do believe these immigrants either need to speak english or go back to their own country. when i go into a service related place (a restaurant or walmart, ect) and i am treated poorly and with disrespect because THEY do not understand english - i am enraged. and down here, this happens nearly everywhere you go. its UNACCEPTABLE. and bush is right about it preventing the american people from getting jobs they're fully qualified for - the jobs are given to less qualified, bilingual candidates. its not right. and by the way, i am not a Bush supporter. but i most certainly agree with him on this! and obviously you are either an immigrant or live in a place that doesnt have many otherwise you would see first hand the ignorance they have let into our country. people - again, not a jab at any culture or race - after all, i am from spain.

Just because you want all Americans to speak ENGLISH doesn't mean that you are racist. We are the UNITED States of America, which means we need to unite in one langugage. The true spirit of America has been lost with all this Spanish-speaking crap. My question is, why aren't they willing to learn English?
If I moved to Mexico, I would learn Spanish. That would be my only means of survival. Here in America, I don't know how you can survive without learning English, but I think it ridiculous that we should be expected to learn THEIR langugage when they are in OUR country.

HE IS RACIST. But he has a point. ASIANS, AFRICANS, EUROPEANS all have to learn english coming to America, it isn't fair to only cater to Mexicans or Latinos. If you're gonna do that cater to ALL FOREIGN LANGUAGES. Blacks in America and Native Americans were FORCED to learn English, what makes Mexicans so much better? If I went to Mexico I'd WANT to learn spanish because majority SPEAK SPANISH. I wouldn't make them speak english that is wrong. Same with going to any other country that I want to LIVE IN. If I went to China I'd want to speak Chinese, and so forth........

I'm sorry, but people who come here to live SHOULD be required to learn English, not the other way around.
If I moved to Mexico, I would learn Spanish. If I moved to France, I would need to learn to speak French. What's the big deal?
