Sorry to say, your question doesn't give a lot of information to form a comprehensive answer. What do you want an agent for? Being Canadian? Dance? Film? Theater? Literary?
Your use of the word "common" to describe yourself is also a little curious. Common as opposed to what? Rich? Talented? Already famous? Unless you have remarkable talent and have demonstated it, your odds of getting, or even needing an agent, are rather slim.
Agents are not wish-granting genies who suddenly get you fame, fortune and a star career. Agents are hard-working men and women who represent individuals who, they feel, are worth their time and energy to promote and work for.
To get an agent, you need to work hard, perfect your craft, be confident in your abilities and have enough experience to demonstrate that you're worth representing.

Common people do not have agents. Agents work for a percentage of your income. If you are common, and not worth investing in, no agent will come near you. Your value is solely dependent on how much money other people can make from you.

PalmerPath has nailed it. You have to be an outstanding talent and/or an outstanding beauty before an agent will be interested in representing you. So get lots of experience and go to acting school and find out if you are worth an agent/s notice.
