No, an alcoholic is a person who has a reliance on alcohol in the same way that a drug addict has a reliance on drugs or a smoker on cigarettes. Most alcoholics don't get falling down drunk, they just need a little often to maintain their disposition. I have known several and you wouldn't know they had been drinking unless you caught their breath.

In a weird sort off way yes but theirs is far worse than a normal hangover. They have to have alcohol just to function

Alcoholism is a disease. Alcoholics do have hangovers. It is a disease in which he/she is addicted to alcohol and cannot stop, and cannot control how much they drink.

alcoholic is one that drinks after hes drunk and will do it day after day so its an addiction

no..he as a dis.....ease...which means he is not at ease with himself without drink.
he as a allergic reaction to alcohol..let me explain
when he drinks he loses all self control.most probably loses is respect..family and job..its a very progressive illness.
