yesterday i found a canadian penny in my collection, its a 1993

it doesnt look as shiny as the one on Yahoo! search, how do i get it shiny and to stay shiny?

if it gets dirty, use lemon juice or anything with citric acid. it helps remove the metal composites off of the coin leaving it looking pretty darn new and shiny. good luck

Don't clean it. If you have a coin collection you should know that cleaning coins makes them lose their value. With a mintage of over 809,000,000 it is far from a scarce coin. It is worth one cent in Canada and in most northern States that border Canada. Use it to start a Canadian one cent collection. One other thing shiny is not always best, or what it seems to be.

When you shine any coin, you ruin its value as a collector's item. Leave it alone.
