Kanye is my favorite, but the greatest rapper of all time would have to be Pac. I'm 15, and I grew up listening to Big and Pac. Big told stories which isn't bad, but Pac talked about the issues. Pac talked about the issues like black on black crime, mistreatment of women, and the infamous police racially profiling young black men. Yes, he had those "gangsta" rap lyrics and what not, but i know that that wasn't the real Pac at all. He was being something that he wasn't, and sadly, when he started to show who he really was, he was killed. I did a speech on him which was really easy because i had already knew so much about him. He was great because he told people to "keep their heads up" and could relate to people in the ghetto. He didn't front and act like he was from the hood like most rappers today. We all know where Pac is, or do we? Ever since i was little, i said he was chillin on an island. I don't think he's dead because his music is still alive, and his music was his everything.

It took me a long time to realize, but Eminem is phenomenal. His words cut deep. You can't listen to those tracks and not get a hollow heart.
Truth is, without Raising Hell by Run DMC, hip-hop would have fizzled out as it was just starting. Those guys rhymed about things like not doing drugs and making money honestly.

Andre 3000- His style, lyrical content, and his originality. I think Outkast is without a doubt the best of our time... He's currently dropping some of the hottest verses Rap has ever heard.

Jay-Z- He's been the most consistent artist over the last decade. He dropped albums every year(some times dropping two albums, ex: Best of Both Worlds, Blueprint 2.... Streets Is Watching, In My Lifetime) except 2005.(Best of Both Worlds Pt 2 counts for 2004)
