give you nightmares?

Cause I never have nightmares and the past two days I ate chocolate cake and ice cream right before I went to sleep and had really bad nightmares.

I have nightmares if I have dairy products before bedtime. Milk, cheese, ice crream - any of it will give me the most bizarre dreams- sometimes they're scary, but mostly just bizarre.

I don't know if it's just me, but seeing your question makes me think it's something we may share!

I'm sure the high sugar content of your dessert may also have something to do with it.

i don't think so. but in the Philippines they call something like "impacho". the elders says this happens to you when you eat too much before going to sleep, which can also be explained scientifically. it means that you were not able to fully digest the food that you ate or not able to burn the food. thats the reason for food related nightmares according to my mom.

I don't know about nightmares, but it will cause you to gain a load of weight, and that might be a nightmare all by itself.
