You need to get the Depo-shot. It is a wonderful form of birth control and it will more than likely stop your periods completely. You do have to go in and get the shot every 3 months, but you don't have to remember to take a pill every day. A lot of women complain of weight gain with the shot, but usually no more than 5 pounds. And the weight gain that comes with is is normally water retention and you can avoid that by drinking a lot of water and avoiding salt intake. The discharge you're experiencing is your ovulation. It is perfectly normal. It sounds like your periods are irregular and you need to be on a steady birth control to regulate them.

I definitely don't recommend the injection to anyone. Too many women experience horrid side affects of the injection. Weight gain (way more than just 5 pounds... more like 50-60!), horrible mood swings, spotting at odd times, bleeding profusely, bone density loss, troubles conceiving, loss of libido... etc etc...

If you do this, I wish you good health in the years to come.

Please research the shot more, and I'm not just talking about reading the depo sites. Find neutral places to find reviews on the shot.

You NEED to tell your doctor about the weird discharge PRIOR to getting the shot if you do go through with it.
