I'm Japanese, and one of my English teachers talks about another teacher who is American "he has a cute Irish looking son." What's Irish looking? How do you discribe Irish looking people? Are there British looking, French looking, or German looking people, too?

well, the stereotypical Irish person has red hair and a quick temper. Irish people tend to have light skin, hair and eyes, but so do most people from northern parts of the world. Here are some links to pictures of families from the countries you mentioned.

I think the other people who posted are correct.
However, I think it is not best for anyone to classify people by their looks. I know it's not you that is doing this, but the teacher needs to be careful about how she refers to others.

Irish looking generally means one has pale skin, freckles, with red, black, or light brown hair...incapable of getting a tan, not very attractive, etc.
