The doses were properly spread apart. I was in a lot of pain all over and needed the Tylenol to sleep. I had some cramping and spotting is why I'm worried. The spotting was very little, but it never occurred during my first pregnancy...what do you think?

Yes you are fine, your baby is fine. I have to say all the worry mothers on here, you are pregnant. You can do more things then what you think. I am on baby number 5, I fell, I ate fish, I took Tylenol, dyed my hair, move my house around, and so on. My children are smart healthy and perfect, GOOD LUCK TO YOU....................

1. Call your midwife or doctor ASAP. Cramping and spotting together can be a bad sign - but it is not necessarily a bad sign, especially if both are light.

2. It is doubtful that Tylenol Maximum strength could cause a miscarriage, unless you just totally overdosed on it. If you went by the recommendations (and it wasn't the kind of Tylenol with cold medicine in it) it shouldn't have affected the baby. Being in pain and not being able to sleep is actually more harmful to the baby than the Tylenol could be, remember that.

Good luck, I hope everything's okay!

i'm 34 weeks pregnant, and i was given tylenol at the hospital the other day... so it's fine as long as you don't take more than the recommended dosage. also, when i was at about 6 weeks, i had some mild cramping and brown-ish spotting. i went to the doctor then, they did an internal exam and ultrasound, and the baby and i were just fine. (didn't happen in my first pregnancy either) chances are, it's normal... but it will make you feel a lot better to get everything checked out by your doctor. happy pregnancy! :)

I don't think your cramping and spotting was from the Tylenol. The doctor told me I could take ANY Tylenol product, including Tylenol PM. If you are concerned, though, I would call the doctor about the spotting. Best of luck!

Not sure actually. I was told not to take Tylenol. I kept asking if I could take Tylenol PM for sleep and she said only Benadryl 50mg. As far as just pain, she just kept saying no to Tylenol.

Every doc is different. Go get checked out.

Acetaminophen is the drug of preference when you're pregnant. As long as you stay within the normal range of dosing, the OTC use should be fine, but you should let your Dr know about cramping and spotting, regardless.

The limit is 8 per day. Liver problems are the limiting factor, not pregnancy disruption.

I think you are a natural born worrier and have nothing to really worry about.
