Is it myth or scientific fact that folk moved from the central and eastern regions of russia to settle in south america moving westward and across the polar ice covering the north atlantic through canada, north america and settling thereafter?

Sounds daft but im sure i heard it somehere.....

This is by far the most likely scenario of the population of the Americas. The people must have come through Siberia through the Aleutians area; The degree of their relationship with the current Siberians is something to be established by genetic testing, but I don't have that specific information.

Never heard that one before. I know that the American Indian's genome type was from Western China and Russia, strong evidence of crossing into Alaska and down and Thor Heyerdahl drifted from Polynesia to South America on a balsam raft to show another possible route. What about the theory that the continents where once joined and that the earth and the universe is expanding. Even we are, theoretically. Just look at Americans. Just kidding. I think they have better evidence than that.

The general theory is true; may sound daft, but how else would humans have gotten to the Americas if they started in Africa? The only other explanation is by boat; that's definitely how Hawaii was settled by Polynesians, and I think some portion of the South American genome reflects that as well.
