I took 2 like the package recommended. Now I feel shaky and sick to my stomach and almost like I'm going to fall asleep. I've taken Midol for years and I've never experienced this. Why do I feel like this?

Midol menstrual complete- maximum strength (with the blue label). I just noticed that it has 60 mg of caffeine and I don't drink caffeine. Thats probably why I'm shaky. Is there any Midol without caffeine?

Did you eat anything before you took midol? If you didn't thats why you feel sick to your stomach. If you did eat your probably just can't handle the caffine rate in those two pills. Try just taking one next time and if you get the same symtoms just change to another cramp releif medicine...like Pamprin.....or just get regular Midol....or Alive, Tylenol,or over the counter Naproxxon.

Which kind did you take? There are several types of Midol for different symptoms and they have different ingredients. If you took the one with naproxen sodium (Midol Extended Relief) you should take that with food or milk so that it doesn't cause stomach upset. Another product (Midol Menstrual Complete) contains 60 mg. caffeine. Midol Pre-Menstrual Syndrome may cause drowsiness. Here is a link to their website so that you can compare facts and figure out which one you took. Hope this helps.

Some of the different kinds of Midol have caffeine in them, also if you take some meds on an empty stomach you would feel like that. But trust me if it's one with caffeine then you really need to eat.

o not take more than directed. The smallest effective dose should be used. Do not take longer than 10 days, unless directed by a doctor (see Warnings), drink with a full glass of water each dose. Under 12 years: ask a doctor. Adults and children 12 years and older: take 1 caplet every 8 to 12 hours while symptoms last. For the first dose you may take 2 caplets within the first hour. Do not exceed 2 caplets in any 8 to 12 hour period. Do not exceed 3 caplets in a 24-hour period. Other Information: each caplet contains: sodium 20mg, store at 20-25°C (68-77°F). Avoid high humidity and excessive heat above 40°C (104°F).

Probably not, the caffeen is stupposed to wake you up cuz you get sleepy during your period. You probably took too much or are just sick cuz your on your period. Either barf it up if it needs to come out or just rest for the rest of the day, it will pass.
