I would say 85% of people put themselves first.
Everyone else puts others before them. This includes myself. The reasons are many... Personally, I am a believer in Karma... I truly believe my job is to help others in both big and small ways. I am just one of those people that believes that by helping others, I help myself.
That said, there have been a few times in my life where I have put "Me" first... but those are few & far between.

A very wise man once wrote: " If I am not for me, who will be for me. And if not now, When". Sometimes we do have to put people first, certainly that applies to my family. In the end however, it all balances out nicely.

Because we don't want to be selfish all the time. Also we put a certain type a person first. Like family, close friends, etc...
