I like looking at the clever names people come up with too. This is the one for my boat. "2 daze off". I have to hurry up a get it on there before I see it somewhere else. Most people get 2 days for the weekend. No better way to spend it than with your family on the water. Something about boating that takes you away from the real world and into a world where family and good times last forever.

My boat's name is ironically named Titanic's Brother, but I've had to retire it for the year. But I have named Mooch. It comes from an overnight kayaking trip I went on in a large chain of lakes with my dog. We stopped for the night and set up camp with the rest of the group, but when I woke up in the morning, he was over eating breakfast with a family of complete strangers who were just happily feeding him bacon. Since he was mooching their breakfast, I named my boat after him.

I have a vintage 1960's Amesbury dory. Hand built, and made of wood. I have affectionately named her "Ye Old Leekee Bucket". When I first put her in the water, and before the wood swells with moisture, she leaks like a sieve. After she has been in the water a while, most of the leaking stops, but you need to have a bilge pump handy. I used to use her every day pulling lobster traps as a kid off the coast of Maine.
