Circa 1876

MY STORY THUS FAR:

U.S.Marshal Matt Dillon had pursued the Jess Colter gang. He had killed one of the men and brought his body back to Dodge. Jess Colter and his other partner, (1) Cadillac Red, had escaped.
As soon as he could, Matt had reunited with his girlfriend, Sunshine MacGillicutty. Two weeks on the trail, away from from her, was almost more than he could bear.
The next morning when Matt was in his office, filling out paperwork, he was told that Sunshine had been abducted by the two desperados. To read PART ONE in it's entirity, >>>>

AND NOW , PART TWO:

"Colter"

Matt rode for miles, desperately searching for any clue that would lead him to Colter..... That would return Sunshine to safety........ The thought of his Sunny being in the company of those two scoundrels was devasting .......(4) "For the love of God, (3) Not My Baby, " his thoughts kept repeating. "If there's such a thing as a (2) Guardian Angel, please watch over my SunnyMac."
By mid afternoon, he had picked up a trail. It led him to an abandoned shack by Indian Springs Rapids. Matt could tell it was no longer abandoned....Smoke was coming out of the chimney. Matt burst in.....It was vacant. Then a sound from behind....."Drop the gun, Dillon !! "
Matt did as he was told and then turned around. There stood Colter.
Matt:"Where's the woman?!"
Colter:"You mean, where's YOUR woman, don't ya?!" He laughed callously as he motioned for Matt to follow him.
"(5) Ain't it the pits, big man?! You ain't got yer gun or your woman! And right about now, she's gettin' a little romantic attention from my good friend Cadiallac. I lost the toss. My turn is next!"
Matt lunged for Colter. A fight ensued.

Cadillac Red who was at that moment about to take advantage of Sunshine, heard the ruckus! He grabbed Sunshine and went over to where the fight was.
Cadillac:"Git 'em, Jess, while I git his woman!! Yee haw!!! (6) Happy Days are here again !!"
Matt turned to look at them........ Colter hit him from behind!

Matt fell to the ground. Sunshine grabbed the knife from her boot and stabbed Colter. As she reached for his gun, Cadillac Red shot her.
He dragged Matt and Sunshine to the river's edge and dumped them in. Their bodies floated away in the current.

I may give it a try later this evening. Got too much to do today and have to get to it!!!
Nope, no way. I just read sunshines. It wasn't there when I said I would give it a try. It will be a long time and a lot of writing before I can hope to do anything close to that. Oh I might as well face it I'm really not a writer kind of person. It is fun though!! Thanks and T's up for you'all and a star for you!!

"HAPPY DAYS ARE HERE AGAIN? You got to be kidding!" I shouted to my friend Jeanna. "What's so good about them? Just look at this place. AIN'T IT THE PITS? It looks like a
circus around this house."
I had just got back totally exhausted from a six day Interior Decorator's Convention. Everything in our new house was suppose to be completed.
Jeanna was at the airport to greet and take me home. She's been my dearest friend for years.
I often said she was my GUARDIAN ANGEL
and was forever just taking my moods as they came but this time I was a little over the top
and nothing was going to calm me down.
Every room was more hideous looking than the one before.Matching colors and patterns had
been totally thrown out the windows.
Windows? "FOR THE LOVE OF CREATION,"
I started at Jeanna again."What are those stupid,
colored streamers hanging from all the windows?"
Jeanna sweetly smiled and said,"Colin thought they would be better than curtains because they would mix and match with any color you have in any room."
I screamed again,"Colin? My Colin? My fiance Colin? NOT MY BABY, he wouldn't do that to me."
After looking at the bedrooms I dreaded going to the end of the hallway. I had told Colin I wanted
a small, peaceful, little room just for me with a warm soft color on the walls so I could go in and relax any time I needed to get away.
I opened the door, stopped dead in my tracks,
then looked at Jeanna. She stood there grinning from ear to ear. What was she grinning about?
Had she lost her senses too? First Colin and now my best friend?
"FOR THE LOVE OF PAINT AND COLORS"
she laughed. "I mean just look at it!" she continued.
How could I NOT look at it?
"CADILLAC RED?" I mean give me a break.
"CADILLAC RED?" I repeated and what was she laughing at. This was suppose to be MY special room. MINE!!
I was so tired and fed up I almost cried.What
a greeting home and where was Colin anyway?
I turned around and there was Colin and Jeanna smiling which made me angrier than ever.
They took me by the hands and pulled me out of the house and pointed to the next lot.
I had been that exhausted I hadn't noticed being taken into the new "Children's Day Center" that
had just been built also and I hadn't even looked up when I got out of Jeanna's car which is just what they had both been hoping for.
As I walked into our real home I sighed as I slowly glanced around and said, "FINALLY,HAPPY DAYS ARE HERE AGAIN."
This time I could mean it.

No way, could I compete with those
