I know some people do it, and I was just wondering if you were possibly one of them?

I guess at this point I should say that I am kidding.. I don't want someone knocking on my door for an intervention.

I tried sleeping while on acid once. I woke up with a terrible burning sensation and a unsightly skin rash. That is the last time I pour battery acid on my bed sheets. If I have a hard time sleeping, I watch a half hour of C-Span. It really does the trick.

I try. I'll settle down, get into a comfortable position, then a little spot on my face will itch. I'll scratch it. Then I'll settle down again. Pretty soon the inside of my ear itches and I scratch that. Then I decide that my position is not good for my back so I move around. Then my chin itches. I scratch it. Then my shoulder itches. I scratch it. Then I say, "screw it" and get up and take an antihistamine which takes over an hour to put me to sleep then the next day I'm all groggy. It's better for me just to take something about 9:00 p.m. and let it go at that.

Every night I go to sleep without the aid of alcohol or drugs. Naturally.

No alcohol or drugs before sleeping?? That's like trying to wake up in the morning without having coffee.

i am weird in that when I have drugs or alchohol I tend to not sleep but get hyper. Wine, a tiny bit can make me sleepy however. I am blessed with good sleep unless I have a lot on my mind like a broken heart. Or have to break a heart or both.

Definately! But here lately, I've had to drink a few beers to get to sleep at the wee hours in the morning and then I'm tired all day at work!

I swapped alcohol for exercise(gym and running)- now I sleep much better- rather than a semi comatosed state. One glass of wine is no good to me - it's (2 bottles) or nothing which I'm fine with. My eyes are so clear again too. Don't take any drugs- prescription or otherwise.

If you go to the store, get some G.A.B.A pills. They are a natural thing but it works like Valium but it's not addictive. It helps to calm you down a bit. Also, 5-HTP will help.

:)

Of course, going to church would probably help too and you could fall asleep faster. Well, it works for a lot of people.
