I don't think we have to look any further than Cain and Able. We haven't even learned that leason yet so why look for any other? Things will change when we change. Prophecy was never meant to be too specific and is always dependent on whether we change or not. We are co-dependents. If we continue to not find peaceful solutions we will continue to get violent ones. It's really that simple so that everyone can get it.

As is true all over the world, people move. The old testament details a lot about the movement of the Jewish people over 4000 years ago, which points out the parallel between the conflict in the Middle East and the conflicts in eastern Europe, for one obvious comparison. I wouldn't view the bible as something based on faith, too many arguments - just view it as a casual historical document, written with an eye for surviving in the desert, and somewhat prejudiced in favor of the Jewish people - which is not a bad thing, just a slant that you need to keep in mind.

There are some now who are saying the end time as written in Revelations is upon us, citing the present troubles in the middle east as an example.
