Hahahaha, this is called a "419" scam.
And yes, it's probably being perpetrated by a Nigerian with nothing to do. The day BMW NA starts giving away free cars they better award me first because I've spent 100K plus on thier fantastic products lol.

And if it were sincere, why are they using a Yahoo! address?

Plus, Americans aren't allowed to win foreign lotteries unless they have dual citizenship. Do you?

This is just another in a long line of scams. The only reason they still proliferate is that many of the people who get them actually try to get something (money) for nothing and lose out because they have to provide a "processing fee" or something else. I have a hard time feeling sorry for them. Their greed got them into that situation...
