Oh, this is a painful subject. My Steve committed suicide on December 16, 2005. I am convinced he did it to free me of the burden of caring for him. He knew that without him, I could take care of myself reasonably well. I told him I did not want him to talk like that, but he did it anyway.
The saddest part is that I'm afraid he was right, and then I get terribly guilty. It was a long, hard recovery for me, but now I am living in a nicer place and have a life more connected with others than I could with him, since he was such a hermit. But it hurts, Oh Lord, it hurts!
People talk about Jesus sacrificing himself for them, but this was up close and personal. Very personal.

By making me feel like the most beautiful person in the world, in the morning when I havent had coffee and my breath could peel paint. He will sing "Good morning beautiful" and kiss me and tell me how much he loves me. And letting me be me, without trying to change me, even parts he doesnt like.

He cried for me. When we first started dating, I was hanging out with some people who were really bad influences and he was genuinely worried about how these people were hurting me and wanted me to get rid of them. I'd never seen anything so emotional and was truly touched.

My dog, Sadie, is my significant other....when I came home from a two week hospital stay I slept another three days in a row and she lay by my side all three days. She follows me whereever I go and I don't need a leash.......she is devoted to me and I ; to her.

it goes like this..i told him "huney, our kids are gonna hate you, they`ll inherit my hair! they would tell you that you shouldve gone for a woman who has straight hair!" (i have curly and very hard to manage hair, but just got it straightned! hooray for me!) he looked at me and said "nah hun, this is what im gonna tell them ^you kids shut up and be thankful that your mom has agreed to go out with me, or else, you all would be butt-ugly!^"
hahaha, i was laughing so hard when he said that but deeply touched, he feels that im the prettiest girl in the universe!

The way she kisses me, the trouble she'll go through to buy me something I want, but wouldn't expect anyone to actually get it for me, etc.

She puts up with me, despite my being a moody, sarcastic bastard who whines a lot and is always being groped by younger women.
