How do u read text files using vbscript?

Hi......
I'm designing a login form using vbscript.....which loads passwords from text files and checks whether the password given by the user matches the password read from the text file.
But, da problem is I don't know how to read data from a textfile........
Pls Help..........

The answer to this is that you cannot read files or databases on a website using vbscript or Javascript. The reason is security which prevents these client side script languages from accessing any external data.
What you need is server side processing. This is available using ASP, PHP, Perl or Java.

you could rapidly open the report in excel (open with) and it will ask you to divide the contents into cells. or you could write a very own abode page application whill study a report, does a discover and creates a .csv report which would be imported into excel sheet.
