No that irks me hate when people sing songs to me in the midst of an argument. And cliches just make me scream.

I find old time sayings say a lot in a few words....such as, 'haste makes waste', and 'they are like two peas in a pod', and 'better be safe than sorry', and 'oldies but goodies'........you get the idea ! Then I think music is a universal language, almost......expressings thing that sometimes are hard to otherwise express. The music itself is what I am referring to here.......not necessarily the words.

I like to irk them saying "Stairway" lyrics. I was in a fight with my friend, and I go:

If there's a bustle in your hedgerow, don't be alarmed now. It's just a sprinkling for the May Queen.

He goes "what the heck"? And walks away. It's worked twice this week!

Words have never failed me, however i like to use sayings and catchphrases
