i'm a freshman and this year my mom totally wont let me wear anything and pay a lot of money for it.
So grudgingly i'm going to go for simple chic i think and do solid color tees ( Vneck and scoop neck) in bright colors\
and jeans and skirts
with the solid colored tees i'm going to have chunky necklaces and stuff like a lot of accessories what i'm really going to make my bold mark is with purses and shoes though like bright orange and orange flats and such like that. am i going to be a loser???? :(
how can i avoid it?
or make tons of friends?

MY son is a senior in high school and his girlfriend is a sophomore. I have seen what she and her friends wear.

You will be fine with the jeans and the skirts with the t-shirts. I like the sound of your accessories, but I would go easy at first to see how they will work while carrying a back pack and such. Pick up some school t-shirts as they come available. They are never very much and always fit into your school. Watch and observe what the older girls are wearing.

You won't be a loser if you are yourself. You will make friends.

I love the orange flats...........

Oooh. Bummer. Well you just need accessories. Massive amounts of accessories. Cute shoes, always. Different pairs. Purses. Lots of em. And jewelry--you can do chunky or you can layer a few thinner neclaces. I don't know what the styles are at your school (I'm in 8th grade) but at our school, you would need alot to pull of a plain shirt. But people at my school are like, rich so they can afford anything (no I'm NOT rich) So just use lots of accessories. I think it might work. Depending on how judgemental people are at your highschool, it could be really easy or really hard to look stylish. So just work with ideas you have.

Coming it to high school can seem so intimidating, but remember it's the same for everyone! I think your outfits sound cute. I think one thing you could do is focus on layering, because if say you have 3 tank tops and three shirts, you can mix and have 9 shirts! Just make sure your colors and patterns match.
When getting lower-priced clothes, I suggest Kohl's,Target,Payless, and thrift stores (you can really get some great finds!)

Good luck,I think you'll look adorable!

What ever outfit you have make sure your accessories go right with it. People won't really mind but don't think too much of what other people will think. If they have a problem on how you dress don't worry about it. Everyone has their own style in fashion. It really shows they'er personality. If you try to fit in too much you might get in too deep. Be yourself and it'll be a breeze all though high school.

Sounds to me like you care a little to much about what other people think about you. Just be yourself, you will make friends in due course.

well i don't know.. I would never wear that but I'm sure people wouldn't mind. Why don't you wear like Abercombie or Hollister? Those are my stores.. :) and if you really cant afford it send me an e-mail my daddy owns a Abercombie store in Florida and i could send you discounts or something.. ;)
