Hmmm, I would say everything that exists is a part of the universe.

Everything outside of our atmosphere would be space. But of course aliens would say that earth itself is in space, like we would consider their planet to be far away in space.

I don't think it is; but it may be just a matter of definition.
To my mind, the atmosphere we breathe has been produced on earth, particularly the oxygen, which was produced by plants and other primitive oxygen-producing organisms.

In space, there is little or no oxygen, and space is made up mostly of hydrogen. (There is so little that the amount of hydrogen or other materials present in open space (particularly between galaxies) is much less than the very best vacuums we can make here on earth.

Here and there within galaxies, the hydrogen is present in great enough quantities to begin collapsing under gravity, until the density is great enough for a star to form. But the gas cloud is unlike our atmosphere here on earth. That is why I think our atmosphere is not part of space.

Yes, space exists throughout the universe as space-time. The space around the Earth is interesting because it has an atmosphere and a local gravity field, and it's very comfy to live here — unlike most of space.

The atmosphere is a product of space,if you removed all the space from the atmosphere it would shrink to a very tiny bundle of atoms.

No the gravity is what causes the vacuum of space . It pulls every thing out.

Sort of. The whole world is in space, just like Mars is.
