It takes a LOT more for me to lose my cool these days than it used to 10 years ago. Blatant disrespect for others will do it though. I'll forgive it / consider the source to a certain extent, but hey - I'm only human.

Also, people who interfere with GOOD PARENTS who are trying to raise / discipline their children with love, morals, ethics - especially if the people interfering don't even HAVE any children - really burn me up. This isn't even about raising children with any certain religious beliefs (or lack of them.) Bottom line - the PARENTS are LEGALLY responsible for their children until their children reach the age of 18 in most states, yet the government will allow children to do harmful things to their bodies or get medical treatment without the parents knowledge or consent! The PARENTS have a right to know - it's THEIR child. Some people want to take away the parents' GOD GIVEN RIGHT to guide & discipline their own children, but these same people have no problem judging the parents when the child gets into big trouble with the law or ends up pregnant. Here, if a child skips school repeatedly (with or without the parent's knowlege), the PARENT goes to jail! I agree with it if the parent is aware of it; but if a parent is taking their child to school every day, watching the child enter the building, and then going to work, but the child leaves after the parent drives off, how on earth is the PARENT responsible for the truancy?! What a crock! Bleeding hearts say "that child has a right to do this or that", then they complain about juvenile delinquents who have no respect for anyone or they complain about their tax dollars supporting all of the babies out there having babies (or killing babies - whichever the case may be.) Public schools are losing students all over the nation because of the "political correctness" being forced down our children's throats. You can teach anything in public schools - as long as it's not bible-based. PARENTS are responsible for teaching social graces, morals, and ethics. SCHOOLS should stick to teaching reading, writing, arithmetic, language, history, etc. It is not their job to PARENT the child...but that seems to be the goal of public schools in this day & age.

Ignorance

Anger is my biggest enemy when it comes to losing my cool (ability to think straight). So I spend a lot of time trying to avoid anger. A psychiatrist once told me there is never any good reason to get mad as it NEVER does any good.

I am impatient, so waiting on people, waiting in queues, restaurant, that really gets me to lose my cool. I wish I wasnt so though.
