combined pills are better at preventing pregnancy but carry greater health risks such as breast cancer and ovarian cysts. they have a failure rate of 0.3-3% normally but these figures also depend on which pill you go for.
i recommend micronor, the mini pill but as it's a POP the failure rate is unpredictable but better than a condom. although a condom is better than no condom! condoms carry a failure rate of 10% typically because of lack of care.

Even taking the pill at exactly the same time everyday, you are only 99% protected.
So, you have a 1% chance of getting pregnant.

Oral contraceptives such as birth control pills are highly effective if taken properly. This means taking them EVERYDAY and about the same time each day. However, you need a back up method during the first 30 days if you are just starting. Also, certain antibiotics cause birth control pills to be ineffective. If you are on any antibiotics, consult your doctor or use a back up method just to be sure.

If you are taking the pill daily then the chances are almost zero. If you just started taking the pills you do need to use backup protection for the first 30 days.

Depends on the pill. I would speak to your doctor/family planning clinic/district nurse.
Would still use condoms though, the pill doesn't stop STIs!
