I rather be penniless then to be brokenhearted, true love is hard to find. I can survive on water and the food from nature.

Penniless b/c being broken hearted is the worst feeling in the world....and hopefully eventually you can make more money where as broken hearted will stay in your memory and penniless could only be temporary

At this stage in my life (60), penniless is far more frightening than broken-hearted. I actually rather like living alone, as long as I have visitors often enough. But being homeless is a very, very frightening prospect.
