First of all when Aaron broke the record back in the day he got a worse treatment than what Bonds is getting now,he was booed and jeered and treated like dirt not because of anything other than skin color, now the same people who called aaron names and threatend his life are calling him a hero and role model yet i don't hear anybody going after mark mcgwire's records even though he has admitted to using steroids even after they were banned,no,you prefer to target barry because everyone else does, people never liked barry bonds, way before the whole steroids thing and now they just have an excuse to hate him even more, yet you don't talk about all the white players who have been proven guilty of using steroids and tested positive i bet the next guy that breaks it is gonna get a lot of crap too if he is a minority of some sort isn the? And please make sure that you have all the facts. The use of steroids is not against the law since it is a prescription drug. Many everyday people have a prescription for a variety of different kinds of steroids that treat a variety of problems. Prior to 2001, when MLB implemented the drug policy, any player could get a prescription and take it legally which many did. After the implementation of the MLB drug testing policy, in 2001, they can not be used by players. Since the start of the testing Bonds has never tested positive for any of the (53) banned drugs contained within the policy. Bonds testified to a grand jury that he may have used a steroid, in a "cream" form but did not know it was a steroid. This occurred in 1999 which was two years before testing was implemented. To this point in time Bonds has never been found to have violated any portion of the MLB drug policy, or more importantly broken any laws. The only thing that we can tell our children is that many drugs are bad and should not be used, and that there is no evidence that Bonds has ever violated any laws. This is probably not what you wanted to hear but these are the facts and that is what you ought to be looking at!

It is too bad.
But tell me, if Griffey had or in time A-Rod and Pujols break Barry's record, are you going to put the same stigmas of "maybe he used steroids"?
Besides, Barry has yet to be PROVEN that he has used steroids by a grand jury or admitted that he did take them.
On a plus side, as of 7/30, he still needs 2 HR to break the record... if people are so against him breaking it, there is still a chance he could get suspended, arrested for something minor, or end up hurt (fouling a ball off his foot, pulling a muscle while swinging)

For someone who is so upset about this, you sure like to talk about it an awful lot. How about you just crawl back under the rock you came from for a while until it's all over?

no, he should be thrown out of baseball, and all of stats after 1999 season should not be counted. no matter what bond's final numbers are, the real fans of the game will never consider him anything more that a cheat.

It is so sad that he is going to beat this all time great record. It will always be tainted with his supposed steroid usage. The only problem is, it hasn't been proven so no one can do anything about it.

I disagree. Until proven guilty, he is innocent. If he did do it, then shame on him. But stop bashin' and start enjoying.
