A vegetarian friend and I are planning to visit Liverpool and would like to know of any good veggie places to eat. We are looking for somewhere with a great atmosphere as much as good food - the more unique and interesting the better!

Any suggestions? Thanks.

Try checking out the list of vegetarian or veggie-friendly restaurants on VegDining.com. I think there are a couple listed in Liverpool.

Here's the link:

Good luck!

I hear the Rose of Mossley is nice, albeit an older clientele. I've never been there, myself. Yeats in Allerton Road is very young, almost too young. I don't know of any decent traditional pub in Allerton Road or in Calderstones. Can anyone think of one, because I can't.

The Egg cafe on Newington is good.

It's all candle lit with soft music playing.
