When my husband came home from work today he said me in an abusive tone almost yelling, "Who do you know who smokes brown filter cigs?" I was like do what? He repeated his ? then listed off brands of cigs that have brown filters. I told him I knew no one and no one in my family or landlord smokes. I told him that I didn't know how it got there. The way he talked there were a lot of them in the drive way. This morning I went to check and there was only one. The only person I can think of who came by who might have smoked was the cable guy.
My ? is does it sound as if my husband was accusing me of cheating? He has been known to do this at times. He even tells me when I go to make a call to my kids and mom go call your boyfriend. I don't even have one.
What do you think of this?
Thanks

okay for the record so you will know my husband doesn't cheat. I check phone records and his email accounts and I clock when he leaves to work and back home on mileage of car. Plus he has told me I don't have time to cheat. heck he has no time for me LOL
Yes he is controlling at times towards me and very verbally abusive at times. Mood swings out the window and his mood stabilizers don't always work. He is a very jealous person at times.
You all read him well with just the few words I typed.
Thanks for the replies.

I think your husband has some issues. He might be cheating himself, but I think its more of an "insecurity/controlling personality" kind of deal. What man would go through the front yard looking for cigarette butts?
I would suggest that you keep your eyes open to some other things that he may be doing. I have joked around with girlfriends about them having a boyfriend..... but never seriously, you know? Your husband doesn't sound like he's having a laugh... but rather he is trying to flex some power over you. Has he always been insecure? Or controlling?

He sounds very insecure I think you need to sit down and have this out the longer it goes on the worse its going to get and you will end up feeling trapped and you will resent him for it! if there has never been any cheating in your relationship then he has no right to feel this way be careful as soon he will be checking your phone/emails etc etc you need to clear the air and reasure him that there is no way you would cheat

Sound like you both love each other very much, but neither of you really trust the other when your away? The only way to find that trust is through letting both of you know how each of you feel, so don't be afraid to open up and talk. if you can't trust one another, you will miss out on so much more, were there is love, you may find true love and happiness. good luck

Yep it was a jealousy fit. Don't pay attention to them. Find out who's smoking in your front yard and kick their butt for littering and disrespecting the environment right in your front yard.

You've got MORE problems than just a brown cigarette butt! Your husband sounds very controlling, and close to abusive!
