Jeff Bagwell played his entire 15 year career with the Astros and was a real fan favorite. He had a career batting average near .300 and finished his career with 449 homeruns. He hit over 30 homeruns in a season in 9 of his 15 years and three of those years he hit over 40 homeruns. He also had more than 100 RBI in a season 8 times. Bagwell just went out and did his job every day and was one third of the infamous Killer B's consisting of Biggio, Berkman, and Bagwell. He was an excellent ball player and well deserving of all his accolades.

Bagwell played for the Astros from 1991-2005. He is the Astros all time leader in home runs, RBI, and was a career .297 hitter. Had it not been for his shoulder injury, he would have had 500 home runs. His #5 will be retired by the Astros in August. He was a great player and from what I know, a great person. He deserves to have his number retired. The Astros were lucky to have him. Congrats to Bagwell on a great career.

He was an excellent first baseman for the Houston Astros for over 15 years and played alongside Craig Biggio during all that time. They became known as the killer bees and played the game as it was meant to be played. Bagwelll is also known in New England as one of the best players to come from that part of the country.

He helped make Houston a good franchise for many years. He led Houston in HR's, RBI's,walks, extra base hits and had 297 batting average. So he was a very solid ball player for a long time and will retire because of a shoulder injury at the end of this year.
