If they want to keep what they'd written confidential they should put it in an envelope.
Besides, I write little messages and jokes on the envelopes when I send letters to my friends to give the postmen/women something to read.

I send postcards all the time, and I enjoy knowing that LOTS of people might get to read the strange messages to my friends.

yeah I can safely say I have read many postcards not addressed to me. They are usually pretty boring though!

Years ago I had my local postman knock on my door as he had a parcel for me to sign for. As he was handing over the parcel he also said "and here is a postcard from your parents for you and by the sounds of it they are having a good time"...lol
Can't speak for all postman but mine used to.

The truth is, i fell over a dog passing its bowels on the pavement, the bag fell open and a couple fell out, i just had to have a wee looky to see if they were all right and not damaged and noticed it said on it " The weather is here, wish you were nice" Class me thinks!!! lol
