The TMA-1, or Tycho Magnetic Anomaly 1, found by astronauts in "2001: A Space Odyssey", is supposed to have had a force field which made removal impossible, so, fictionally speaking, it's still on the moon.

This question has to be a joke. A person never learned anything without asking questions but in all honesty you'd have to be living in some kind of freakin fairyland if you've actually confused something from a movie with reality.

If it still exists, it's probably somewhere on the backlot of MGM's Pinewoods Studio, outside London, where those scenes in 2001: A Space Odyssey were filmed, though I doubt they keep props for forty years.
