no control at all

2007-07-30 00:42:33 · answer #1 · answered by Mag 7 · 0 0

We control none of the circumstance, but we have complete control over how we respond to each and every event and experience in our life. So the answer is 0% and 100%.
This is what makes us different than the animals - they react - we have the opportunity to reflect and decide if and how we react.
"Highly effective people shape their owm futures instead of letting other people, their culture, or their circumstances determine it"

I used to think I was completely in control. Now, I know that my life is a series of pretty funny accidents strung together by long periods of boredom where I fail to attract fate's wrath. More times than I care to count, as death took a swing at me with his scythe, I have felt the rush of wind, but each time, when I opened my eyes, I was still here.

Control? Don't let anybody kid you. We are here BECAUSE God has a terrific sense of humor.

Actually, in thinking about it, I have quite a lot of control over my life, more than I realized before giving this question serious thought.

More than I exercise and less than I would like.

We all have more control over our lives than we actually choose to use. That is choices like eliminating bad habits or using our time more constructively.

At the same time, we have factors that are beyond our control such as the acquisition of an illness that we wish we could exert more influence over.

In the past year I would say I have been struggling to get my life on track and see what I am doing. I was lost like two years ago...I am beginning to be conscious of my thoughts and what I do want in my life and the things that make me feel bliss and Joy good feelings....If something I bring into my life is not working I am learning to cut it off right away instead of focusing why its not working and making me feel bad and wasting days and years and attracting other bad stuff from it I feel good I am on a good vibrational plane with my feelings and emotions and coming to terms and focus and realistic on what I can do and have want and desire in my life :)))))

God gave us a precious gift, and that is freedom to choose. We often make wrong choices, and things go awry. As humans, we need to blame someone or circumstances for our trials. When in fact, we ourselves chose our paths. Yes, I do have control of my life, now I have to start moving in the right direction.

control is a big word, I would say little, but you have the right to make any decision with ever situation that may come up. But with a decision comes the comment / risk / reward / oops .
