Put on a pair of tennis shoes and rub the mark away with the sole of your tennis shoes. We used to do this at a large retail store where I worked and it did the trick when no amount of cleaner helped at all.

Mr. Clean Magic Eraser......or any of the "store brands" that work just was well and are much less expensive. This will remove the scuffs about 100 times quicker than a mop or rag. A little water and a few strokes and you should have a clean floor.

If the scuff marks are from shoes, just use a " Magic Eraser" . They work great on floors ! Mr Clean makes them and now there's even cheaper store brand versions.

A pink rubber eraser (that one you had in the first grade) works wonders and doesn't remove the finish on your floors the way cleaners accidentally can.

I use warm water, a hardwood cleaner and soft sponge, but a rubber shoe bottom will take it away as well.
