I have bought a few things already too. I have 2 young kids, and the eldest has her birthday in December as well, so it's a nightmare buying it all just a few weeks before (not to mention expensive!) so I try and start quite early. I won't get too much yet though in case their tastes change, but I pick up a few bits and pieces when I'm out shopping and then hide it!

I shop for Christmas gifts all year long. If I come across something that I would like to give someone on my list I buy it. Come Christmas time I have most all of it done and don't find it so strapping money wise.

Normally half term in October, (I work in a college) I can't do all that last minute around the shops on Christmas Eve, I would have a break down!

Its a good thing to do. I know people who start shopping in January. Me.....I start the week before Xmas.

I started mine in January in the sales, got most of it done too, still got a few things to get though, I like to be organised for Christmas, it's the only thing I am organised about!!!

I usually start in early December.....I only have 4 things to buy, since the only people I buy presents for are my immediate family.

good idea, at leat you will miss the rush good on ya. still best to buy things that are usable rather wearable otherwise you cant take them back can you. still alot of sales around good way of saving money.
