It meant the snitch would open at the close of Harry Potter's adventure. When he went to fight Voldemort in the forest and willingly die so that the world could be a safer place, that was the close of his adventure, and so the snitch opened up allowing him to see his parents once again before he went to fight and get the encouragement he needed.

From what I remember, I think it has to do with the fact that the snitch will only open after he realises that he has to die for the horcrux inside him to be destroyed. The 'close' refers to his death.

It means that the snitch would open when its beholder would be about to die. ence, "I close" refers to the death of Harry Potter and that's why when he says to the snitch that "I am going to die", it opens.

In Harry's situation, he is a horcrux and are meant to die. Instead, he contact the dead when he was about to die is his last time of being alive and his 'time' is up and about to 'close'.

All along the snitch is the resurrection stone, which activate when the person's 'time' is near which is this meaning. Harry have the resurrection stone to question him and choose between life or death.
