I believe they could be real, look up the bombardier beetle it has a miniature chimecal chambers in his body that when sprayed out these gland like appendages they combine to cause a caustic type of flame thrower that literally jolts the bug back a bit through a miniature explosion ,...when these two chemicals are combined out side the body... neat to see ....the dragon is very possible.......... scientist have done studies that have many questions concerning the chambers of the abdomen of the carnivore dinosaurs ....... I'm sorry i have no source at the moment , it has been a long time since i read the article,.....I'll see if i can find it for you!.......................................................I would like to add in chinese mythology and other ancient cultures beleive in the dragon and even in the bible it talkes about the fire breathing laviathin that was created before man.......and even the bahemoth that eats the grass like the ox and it moves his tail like a cedar......( but in Hebrew this literally reads he let's hang his tail like a cedar),......and that his bones are like bars of iron.............(For he is the first of the ways of God!......these are literal scriptures here) but hear you go,... here are some verses that are so enlightening, but i will say their will be some christians that will tell you that the world is only 6,000 yrs. old but they are unlearned in the hebrew, but this is ok, this will not effect their Salvation......................Ok here are the verses........The Behemoth the vegitation eating Dino (Job 40: 15-24).........Laviathin the Fire breathing carnivors (Job 41: 18-21) hope this helps....good will hunting!

people have been wrong before.
yes there was a chance. the only reason people know dinosaurs were real is because of the fossils. now what if our little buddy Dragon lives in a mountain, where there wont be any sediments or lakes or things to cover it up ? No fossils.(anyway, you cant get fossils from a currently living being)
Why do most unconnected people like the chinese and the european know dragons existed? they must have seen their own kind of dragon. Like any other species shaped by natural selection, there is variety in the specie. (there is more than 1 kind of squirrel, y'know) Isolation seperates the same species, and then, each one evolves to suit the environment.in this case, Europe and China.
our bombadeer beetle may explain how firebreathing is possible. however, if this is the case, the firebreathing couldnot last for a very long time. (it'd run out of chemical)(more proof!)
however, to fly, a dragon's bones are been hollow, and the wings must have been large. to maintain flight, it has a four chambered heart, and is warm blooded.(there is a reason why present day reptiles cant maintain their activities for long periods of time).
...
What more can i say? Dragons are real.
Sorry, i dont have any fancy links.

Dragons are present in every culture, both Western and Eastern. Since in the historic times neither culture had much contact with each other and yet both hold firm beliefs and legends about dragons, we are forced to reason that similar if not actual creatures like dragons did exist. But the different appearances both cultures conjure up bring about another point - Are we really talking about the same creature?

Also, archeological searches churn up dinosaur bones but do not report dragons. Could it be possible we've mistaken dragon bones for dinosaurs'? If those are truly dinosaur bones and if dragons did exist, we don't know where their bones are.

If they exist even to modern day, I am having a hard time believing in them because if they are of such legendary size, I must be Helen Keller since I don't see any about. And how does a large creature hides itself so discreetly? Sure if it disguises itself as a landform, we'd have noticed somehow (E.g. Mountain breathing fire, Plateau with wings, a constantly moving/flying butte...)

I believe they could very well be true. Me provided a good example as to why a fire-breathing creature could be real in our friend, the bombardier beetle. A good movie to try to get a hold of in some way is "Dragon's World: A Fantasy Made Real" which was aired on Animal Planet. Although the creators specified that they aren't holding everything in the movie as fact and proof, it DOES give very reasonable arguments as to how dragons can exist. After the movie aired, they even had one of the scientists that had helped with research on a chat channel of Animal Planet's website to answer questions.

Good luck with your search!

I believe dragons exist, not as physical reptile-like creatures, but as manifestations of energy.

Living things produce magickal energy. Like water, this ecergy tends to collect in small streams, which merge to create larger streams, and then great "rivers", which then converge into "pools" or "seas" of power. Many people call these streams "ley-lines." Ancient civilizations used to build their spiritual centers around powerful collections of energy.

Now, magickal energy is not alive. But the more of it you get in one place, the more it tends to act as if it were alive. It can seem to have a personality and purpose all its own, though it can still be used by anyone with a strong enough will to control it. Dragons are the manifestations of powerful ley-lines--
majestic, elemental, and sometimes terrifying creatures. Difficult to summon, even harder to tame, they can wreak havoc on an area (from a magickal perspective) when they get cranky.

I have a similar theory about the nature of unicorns being guardian spirits.

I absolutly beleive in dragons. Just because you don't see them flying around everyday doesn't mean their not there.
