because I've read Michelangelo often ridiculed Davinci. So ultimately over all has history shown who was better?

JS- I will ultimately be the judge of who is better. I wanted people to persuade me as to why.
I mean all around. It is safe to say that Davinci is over all better than you or I. But I mean in a full on point for point battle D or M. That is a fair question I would think.

I am tempted to say -in terms of accomplishment. But factoring in other things as well.

What are you basing the term "better" on? Which one was a better artist? Which one was a better person for not ridiculing the other? I think both Da Vinci and Michelangelo were great artists, few will deny this, although some may choose one over the other. Ultimately, do you want History to be the judge of who was "better", do you want us to be the judges of who was better, or will you be the judge?

hard to say...because Sanzio Raffaello did exactly same thing to Michelangelo later on...
Personally, I think Michelangelo is more influential than Davinci on the field or sculpture and drawing.
But we should remember that Davinci wasnt just an artist, he proved to be with talent on almost every fields including political science, engineering, and medical science too

I would have to say that Michelangelo was a better artist becuase he was more focused on art. Davinci on the otherhand was a better scientist who happend to be an excellent artist. I think he had way too much going on in his brain at one time and can't immagine why his brain didn't explode.

I think Da Vinci was slightly better inventing the scissors but in terms of art I though Michelangelo is slightly more impressing.

They may not have been personal friends, but both were great and are regarded as such now. Da Vinci did more than Michaelangelo, - d.V.'s range covered sciences for example, as in the invention of flying machines, - but M. was an artist, painter, and architect.
