I know everyone has dreams everynight, but sometimes they just don't remember them. Well, I can't remember any of the dreams I have had, like the last time I "had" a dream was years and years ago. Some people have very vivid dreams, but I don't seem to remember them. Why is that?

Some people are just better at remembering dreams than others. Some researchers believe that certain people have a genetic disposition to forget their dreams as they come out of their sleep, and you're more likely to remember a dream if you wake up in the middle of it.

Try this: first thing when you wake up, try and remember what you dreamt of. Don't focus too hard, but just try and get a feeling, i.e, if you had a good dream, you'll feel warm and nice. Gauge the mood you're in. I find that snippets of dreams will drift back to me during the day, but again, it's more of a feeling than 'knowing' what you dreamt of. Start off with this to help you build up a dream memory.

It is quite probable that you do dream but simply cannot remember them. A sleep study with EEG would be necessary to verify that. However I can tell you that I have gone through periods of my life where I also either don't have or can't remember dreams and then suddenly I begin to have and remember dreams almost everynight. I do believe it has to do with our conscience mind and what is going on in our awake life but to be honest I don't know the pattern to make myself have a dream.

We all dream because of experience. Without experience, there is no need to dream because we will have ceased to have thoughts.

Yet, the only reason you are unable to remember the dream, is because there is too much going on in your life. The spirit must make an attempt each night to clear out the day's thoughts. But, when there is too much to clear out before the eyes open again, there is no clarity on the part of the spirit to do so, and so there is no dream to remember.

you are right ,everyone dreams every night - you have to tell yourself each night before you go to bed that you want to remember your dream . repeat to yourself as your drifting off to sleep - I will remember my dream! also put a notebook and pen and when you wake up record your dream immediately. try not to open your eyes untill you see the images in your mind. Yes also people who have very vivid dreams are usually very sensitive and have psychic abilities. I t may take a few days of doing this but adventally yu will start to remember them.

They say people that don't dream have fullfilling lives, whether they be good ones or bad ones.
