Take your zippo out of the case and check the screw on the bottom, it adjusts the spring pushing against the flint. See if tightening it or loosening it has an effect, and also check to see if your flint is worn out or not.

If so, you can probably get Zippo flints from eBay for cheap, or from the store you got your lighter from.

Flint Zippo

This could be for various reasons. It's quite possible that the flint popped out of the Zippo. Even the disposable Zippos can be taken apart (although I don't recommend you do it unless you don't mind the possibility of not getting it back together and having to throw it away). But, the Zippo can easily be taken apart and the flint looked at. If the flint is still there, then you might turn the flint upside down, let it dry (if it's gotten emmersed in lighter fluid) and then try to strike your flint and see if it works. But, without a spark, that's USUALLY because there is no flint in place or it's just too short to get in position to be stricken.

replace the flint and make sure their fluid in the lighter - you can get flint at any tobacco store, no need to go to Ebay.

If all else fails, Zippo has a lifetime warranty - get it replaced.

The flint probably got used up.
Open lighter, grab by wind guard (perforated shield around wick) and pull to remove lighter unit from body.
Turn over, remove screw (right-hand thread) and spring.
Go buy a new flint.
Install new flint.
Reinstall spring and screw.
Reinsert lighter unit into lighter body.
Light away!
