hard to agree with a question.

i assume that you mean to say that world war 2 was inevitable and do i agree with that statement.

i would say that if the nations had stopped hitler earlier, before he invaded the rhineland, then it could have been stopped before it began. or if germany had been treated more fairly after world war one then world war 2 might not have happened.

but once hitler began taking land he had to be stopped. so it all depends on the time frame.

i agree that hitler should have been stopped sooner, if he had been then it might not have been a world war. then there would have just been japan to deal with. and if germany was at peace then japan might not have had the guts to attack the US

I disagree with this statement entirely.

If anyone can remember the Pacific War in Asia (apparently the 3 people who answered above didn't) during World War 2, it was absolutely necessary to go to war with Japan to stop Japan's aggression in China (1937 - 1941), and in the other countries it occupied from 1941 - 1945.

As for the war in Europe, it too was unavoidable - as the Civil War in Spain (1936 -1939) showed us - Communism, Fascism, and Democracy in Europe were bound to go to war at some point in time.

the world war 2 was necessary.
as only one person above mentioned about the pacific war.
Japan at that time was invading china and part of south east asia.. they killed and caused alot of disruption. US had got to help becuase many people are suffering from Japanese invasion, thus two bombs was dropped and in the end Japan surrendered and people in Asia was free again.
whilst in europe germany made many suffered as well and the war was inevitable as you can see that Hitler was gaining power and create much disruption , the allies could not let him continue as prolonging their attack. would meant that they will be wasting more resources and killing the lives of many soldiers and so on..
therefore ww2 is a must .

This true to the extent that noone took care to curb the ambitions of Hitler's Germany when it was still a time to do so without a major war (Rhineland 1935, Sudetenland crisis 1938)

It became unavoidable, because allied western nations kept giving concessions to Hitler...By 1935 at least, it became obvious, Hitler is planing a war...In fact as soon as Nazis came to power, they began to violent international sanctions imposed upon Germany after WW I...By the time of Munich treaty, when Czechoslovakia was "sacrificed" in a name of "peace" war became inevitable...

Not "Unavoidable" in it's entirety...
The other nations could've simply just let Hitler conquer Eurasia and continued his appeasement...
And then nobody would've had to go to war. But that would be cruel considering Hitlers logic of ethnic supremacy not to mention if you factored in human emotions, Pride, and Nationalism. That wouldv'e been asking for too much if you expected them to take that lying down...

Yeah...

We had to do it...(unlike all the wars since...)

If we hadn't stepped in...

Tourism in Europe would't have been much fun...
