You can travel by car/bus up until you deliver, but you need to make sure you aren't spending too much time sitting down. You need to be able to get up and stretch your legs and walk around at least every hour or two, because by remaining immobile on a long drive puts you at risk for developing DVTs, deep vein thrombosis - blood clots - in your legs, which can dislodge and go into your lungs, which is life-threatening. Otherwise, the only issues are comfort related, and there is no reason not to travel.

I have never traveled on a ship...
I feel safer driving.... I am always tense and nervous on an airplane..but it sure does save a lot of time!

Car: I've never been on a boat, but I can't Imagine being stranded somewhere in the middle of an ocean or sea; I love flying, but I've only flown 4 times (4th being yesterday, 8-6-'07, actually), and I'm also terrified of it.

Well statistically.. airplanes are safest.. But I have to admit I feel safer travelling in a car. "/

Car and commercial aeroplanes, im perfectly fine on.
I dont get in with drunk drivers. Dunno anyone who does that either.
I dont like the idea of personal aeroplanes cause my parents friend died in a plane crash a couple of years in a small plane training. - although id still do it, just a bit weary.
I wouldnt really feel safe in a ship, unless it was a cruise ship. - a yaught around the world wouldnt be fun when you get caught in a huge storm.
