If the crazy glue gel doesn't work, then you might try going to an auto parts store and getting the glue that you use to replace rear-view mirrors inside cars. If it can hold up a mirror to the windshield, then it would probably hold a glass flower.
Good Luck

Start by cleaning the glass thoroughly then go over edge with alcohol. Keep your fingers off.
Super glue should work, but if you check in hardware stores you should be able to find glass glue - Loctite makes a version. This is a thicker liquid and requires UV to cure - sunlight is easiest.

There is a product called crystal glue, that is made for things just like this. It has a syringe tip for easy application and does the best job I've found for gluing glass in as invisible a manner possible.

Or you could just go to Wal-mart and get some super-glue gel. It holds the same as crazy glue, but you don't have to hold it in place as long, because it simply gels on.

use a 2 part epoxy- you can get them from your local hardware store- get one that sets in 5 minutes (thats the slow drying one believe it or not!)

mix enough to glue one piece at a time so it is fresh and very useable- hold while it sets up

either use crazy glue, or a hot glue gun. you can get crazy glue at any drug store & you can get both at a craft store.
